Passports and Visa requirements

If you are planning to visit Australia to attend a business event such as a conference as a speaker, participant or attendee, (that is, you will not be working, performing, or being paid to contribute), you may be eligible for one of the following visas:

Visitor (subclass 600)(Business stream) visa
Electronic Travel Authority – ETA (subclass 601)
eVisitor (subclass 651)(Business Stream) visa

Invitation letters

Letter of invitation will not be issued for this conference. To assist in obtaining any necessary visas that you may require, it is essential that you complete the online registration form and finalise payment in a timely manner. An official tax invoice and confirmation email will be issued to you which you will be able to submit with your visa application.


Brisbane is serviced by world class domestic and international airports which are only a 20 minute taxi ride from the city centre. Brisbane’s award-winning airport provides unique arrangements for visiting delegates ensuring a smooth and warm welcome to Brisbane. Twenty-four international and domestic airlines use Brisbane’s airport.

Airport transfers

Airtrain offers convenient services between the Airport, Brisbane City and the Gold Coast, as well as transfers between the Domestic and International Terminals.

Airtrain departs every 15 minutes during peak hours and runs between the following times:
Weekdays: 5.04am – 10:04pm
Weekends: 6:04am – 10:04pms

Taxi – Taxi ranks are conveniently located at both the International and Domestic Terminals.
At the Domestic Terminal, the taxi rank is located centrally in front of the terminal.
At the International Terminal, the taxi rank is located at the northern end of Arrivals on Level 2.

A Brisbane Airport access fee of $3.60 applies to all pick-ups originating from an airport taxi rank. The access fee is paid by the passenger to the taxi driver and, as with all charges, may only be applied after the passenger has entered the taxi and the meter is started. There is no airport charge for set down.

Con-x-ion Airport Transfers meet every flight arriving into Brisbane Airport seven days a week, offering one way or return ‘door-to-door’ coach services from the Airport to/from Brisbane city.
